IAVE Taiwan is the national representative of the International Association of Volunteer Effort (IAVE) in Taiwan. IAVE Taiwan is a bridge for exchange and cooperation with global volunteer organizations, and is linked to organizations all over Taiwan through the local network of Regional Volunteer Centers. Vision Following the principal of a 'Volunteering Taiwan on a Global Track', IAVE Taiwan aims to create a society where there is free exchange of ideas and resources between local and global voluntary organizations, and active promotion of good governance, voluntary service and civic participation.
Missions 1. Promote the ideals and activities of IAVE.
2. Integrate local Volunteer Centers with voluntary service resources.
3. Build cooperation between local and international voluntary organizations.
4. Increase international recognition of Taiwanese voluntary service.
5. Attract international support for the development of local volunteering.
6. Strengthen cooperation between Chinese community volunteer organizations.
Functions 1. Open international avenues of communication using information technology.
2. Research issues of common concern, and design cooperative programs for local and overseas voluntary service organizations.
3. Organize cross-cultural exchanges to assist healthy communication between organizations.
4. Establish an international human resources center, and develop organization-to-people interaction.
5. Hold international conferences and activities, and offer a stage for exchange and communication between volunteers all over the world.
6. Prepare local voluntary service leaders to enter key international organizations and participate in setting the global agenda.
